UP the CAREER LADDER: Use the Right Words

Are you using the best possible words on your resume to catch the

eyes of human resource managers? If any of these active verbs

apply to your experience, you should use them to describe your

past work:

Achieved, Assisted, Completed, Coordinated, Created, Developed,

Directed, Expanded, Handled, Initiated, Led, Managed, Organized,

Planned, Set Up, Solved, Trained.

These active verbs and many other reflect the approach to work that employers look for today. Some HR departments actually

rely on special software programs that pick up words like these

from a whole batch of resumes submitted for a single job.
